Whereas previously, the ink tank that is used by the printer looked like an afterthought as it jutted out from the side of the printer in a bad fashion. Epson has integrated the ink tank into the main body of the printer. The result gives a similar appearance to that seen when ink cartridges were used.
While the previous method of transferring ink from the bottles to the tank was straightforward, an accident could happen. Now the new bottle design and the appropriate slot in the tank feature a docking mechanism to make sure that it is fit. There is also no need to squeeze the bottle to facilitate the transfer of the ink to the black, magenta, cyan and yellow sections of the tank. Included in the package are two bottles of black pigment ink and three bottles covering cyan, magenta, and tallow dye ink. This should be enough to print 14,000 pages in black and 5,200 pages in color.
The new design concept gives the user a black rectangular box with dimensions of 370 x 345 x 240 mm as width, depth, and height. A flatbed scanner is mounted on top of the printer that is supported by a paper output tray. Paper is fed from the back of the printer. A memory slot is located on the left front of the unit while see-through panels on the opposite side give a guideline as to the current capacity of each ink tank.
The printer has an adjustable panel on the front of the ET-2750 that can be set at the best angle to suit the customer’s view when accessing the printer’s various features. This panel is based around an LCD screen displaying menu options and status messages. The navigation cross is positioned to the right of the screen plus buttons to display possible solutions, the stop and start operations, apply functions, and the return to the previous screen. On the left of the screen are the Home and the power buttons.

The setup of the ET-2750 and the software is straightforward even though a little patience is needed as the initialization on the printer can take up to 10 minutes with a progress bar that gives feedback. The supplied CD-ROM will lead you through the progress as you follow the on-screen prompts. The print driver supplied with the printer gives a range of features including those to print in qualities designated as Standard, Draft and High.
